This weeks assignment was Flora and Fauna. Though I was able to get some new fun pictures I decided to add a few of my favorite older photographs as well. The first photograph is of seeds. I found this in my backyard and though I have yet to get a good photo of a dandelion (one of my life goals) this weed turned out pretty nicely. I changed the levels a bit on the photograph but that is all the editing I did on this one.

The second photo is of my sister-in-law's crab apple tree that was flowering while we were visiting this past weekend. This was hard to shoot as the wind was blowing just enough to throw off your focus. Luckily one of the photos finally worked. I also changed levels on this one and I cropped it down a bit - but that is all.

The third photo is of a Jellyfish I saw in an aquarium in San Diego a few years back. When I looked at the photo information I wondered how that photo could have turned out so well as my shutter speed was really slow. I honestly am amazed that it worked out. I found out that aquariums are really neat places to photograph because they put lights in each display. You do have to wait for the fish to come into the light sometimes, but it is fun to see what you can get. I change levels on this photo as well as using the clone stamp and healing brush to take out a part of another jellyfish that was in the corner.

The last photo is of a ladybug my niece was playing with. I told her I wanted to take a photo of it so she turned it around so it could face the camera. I changed the levels on this photograph but that's all.

I love photographing nature. If you are interested in seeing more nature photography there is a link on the right hand side of the blog (under Links) where you can view older posts with nature photos.
